How to set up Auto-Invest on Hata
Create, pause and end an Auto-Invest plan. RM30 minimum from your wallet or RM100 by card, 5 plans with 5 coins each, first purchase tomorrow, and Daus's real plans.
Quick answer
- Home → Auto-Invest → Create new plan. The minimum is RM30 per coin from your MYR wallet.
- Up to 5 plans at once, with 5 coins per plan. The first purchase happens the next day.
- If your balance is not enough, the plan pauses. If it fails many times, the plan is ended.

- Ringgit in your MYR wallet, or a Visa/Mastercard debit card from a Malaysian bank

What Auto-Invest is
Auto-Invest (automatic buying on a schedule) is how Hata does DCA. You choose the coin, the amount and how often, and Hata buys for you every cycle. You do not need to guess the price, and you do not need to open the app every day.

Open Auto-Invest
Home → Auto-Invest. The screen shows Total Invested, PnL and your plans. Tap Create new plan.

- Choose the funding method. Choose MYR Wallet (RM30 minimum per coin) or a debit card (RM100 minimum per coin).
- Amount, coin and plan name. Pick the coin, type the amount, and name the plan. The app shows the first purchase date below.
- Add coins (optional). Add crypto to add more coins to the same plan. Up to 5 coins per plan.
- Pick the cycle. Daily, Weekly, Biweekly or Monthly. Pick one you can keep going with even when prices fall.
- Confirm and Create Plan. Tap Confirm, check the summary and fee, then Create Plan.
- Manage the plan. Tap a plan to see Plan details. The Status slider pauses it; Stop Plan ends it.
- See every purchase. The Order history tab shows each purchase, the coins received, and a Completed status.
When the first purchase runs
The first purchase runs the next day, around the next hourFirst Auto-Invest purchase: the next day, around the next hour. For example, a plan created at 7:39 pm will make its first purchase at 8 pm the next day, and the app shows this date before you confirm. After that, a daily plan buys at the same hour every day.

Read the confirmation screen carefully before you tap Create Plan.
Using a debit card
Debit cards only, not credit cards, and only Visa or Mastercard from a Malaysian bank. The minimum is RM100 per coinAuto-Invest minimum (debit card): RM100 per coin, the maximum is RM30,000Maximum card limit for Auto-Invest: RM30,000, and one card can only be used for one plan. Your bank may charge its own fee for online transactions. If the card is declined, that cycle’s purchase does not go through and you get a notification.
Pause, resume or end
Open the plan in My plans to see Plan details:
- Status slider: switch it off to pause, switch it on to resume. Pause at least 15 minutes before the next purchasePause cut-off: at least 15 minutes before the next purchase.
- Stop Plan: ends the plan completely.
If your balance is not enough
If your MYR wallet does not have enough, the plan pauses until you top up. If it fails for several cycles, Hata ends the plan. So if you choose to pay from the wallet, make sure you deposit on schedule.
Daus’s real plans
Daus has three plans: “solana”, RM30 a day into SOL since 30 Dec 2024; “Bitcoin Forever!!”, RM30 a day into BTC since 29 Nov 2024; and “RM60,000 Modal”, an RM1,000-a-day plan into BTC that Daus paused after 60 purchases. That big plan is the one with the biggest loss.

Can I use a credit card?
No. Deposits are only via FPX or eWallet. Debit cards (Visa or Mastercard from Malaysian banks) can only be used for Auto-Invest.

When does a plan start?
The first purchase is usually the next day, around the next hour after you create the plan. Hata's example: a plan created Wednesday at 6:15 pm runs its first purchase Thursday at 7 pm.

What if my balance runs short?
The plan pauses until you top up your MYR wallet. If it fails for several cycles, Hata ends the plan automatically.

How much does Daus Auto-Invest?
Daus Auto-Invests RM30 a day into BTC (since Nov 2024) and RM30 a day into SOL (since Dec 2024). One big RM1,000-a-day plan is paused. On 22 Sep 2026 the plans together were still down about 13.7%. Decide for yourself; this is not financial advice.
